Mr. Robert F. Neal - Secretary BOD
Mr. “Bob” Neal retired from San Diego Fire Rescue in 2001. Prior to his Fire Service career Bob served in the Marine Corps with tours of duty at Camp Pendleton, Marine Barracks Washington and in Vietnam with 3/11. Additionally, he is a former Foundation Board Member.
Bob has AA degrees from both Palomar, and Miramar Colleges. In addition, he is a graduate of San Diego Fire Rescue Academy, National Fire Academy, Emmitsburg Md and the California Fire Academy, Pacific Grove, Ca.
Bob has engaged in public service by serving on the City of Oceanside Housing Commission, 2 years; Planning Commission, 12 years; KOCT-TV, 6 years
He holds memberships in the following organizations: Retired San Diego Fire and Police Association, California State Firefighter Association, National Albondigas Society, Marine Corps Association, 8th and I Reunion Association, 3rd Battalion, 11th Marines Reunion Association, 1st Marine Division Association, American Legion, VFW, Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, National Rifle Association.
FOUNDATION BOARD
Our Board of Directors come from a variety of backgrounds, but one thing unites them all, a passion for preserving and perpetuating the history of the United States Marine Corps. Many who serve on our Board have a strong connection with the Marine Corps Recruit Depot having drilled on the grinder, been stationed aboard the Depot, or felt the local impact of Marines in San Diego.
